The Chinese concept of Yin and Yang describes forces that are somehow opposed yet connected. 'Yin Yang' was created with the intention to display such mundane examples of Yin and Yang that we see the basic principles of light and dark, for example. My aim was to convey that such notions simply cannot exist without each other. What is light without dark? What is happy without sad?
 
Although we may sometimes opt to dwell on and agonize over the negatives, the positive forces would not exist, or be of any value, if the troughs of life did not occur.
